I’m sure you’ve heard the cliché that says women are emotional. I know there have been times when I have been. I don’t know if it is that women are emotional as much as it is people; in general, allow their emotions to run wild.

Without knowing how to manage them, emotions can take over our lives and drive us to make bad decisions. Don’t get me wrong, emotions are not all bad. In fact, they enable us to experience feelings of joy, peace, and love. These feelings move us into a deeper relationship with God and others. Problems come when we make decisions on an emotional whim.

Each day, I am striving not to allow my feelings to determine how I respond to people and situations in life. What about you?

  1. I am trying to do the same thing. And without sounding phoney, I just ask God to put a guard over my mouth and I am learning daily to "rest" in the Lord. I am beginning to finally realize that He is the only one we can truly "rest" in. The world says in one ear that it's not enough, that it's lonely. However, as I "cling" to the promises my inner most being says "rest." I believe it!

  2. Emotions can definitely sway you in the wrong direction if you allow them to. I would have never given it a second thought had my wonderful pastors at World Changers Church NY not taught me :-)

    Thanks Pastor Taffi

  3. Emotion can be a beautiful thing but just like our tongue we must conform it to the word of God. The bible does talk about emotion in Romans 12. Rejoice with those who rejoice,Mourn with those who mourn. I have noticed if I allow the holy spirit to speak to me when I am angry, upset, confused he always give me a solution for peace.

I love you Pastor Taffi Dollar you are an inspiration to all women. Sylather

  4. I had emotionals up and downs and at one point in life I really let them take over me. I am just now learning that I had these problems and how to deal with them. I learned that just getting in Gods word and truely seeking his face helped do much. Gods word will balance you and your life. Just stick to the plan that he has for you.
